Operation Romeo Sunroof charges

Investigators from the Logan Major and Organised Crime Squad executed three separate search warrants targeting drug offences in the Brisbane and Logan areas.

As part of Operation Romeo Sunroof, investigators working in partnership with Logan District Police and specialist units executed search warrants on three properties in Manly, Underwood and Archerfield.

During the operation police seized dangerous drugs including cocaine, methylamphetamine, MDMA and cannabis along with approximately $56,000 in cash as proceeds of crime.

A 27-year-old Manly man was charged with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count each of contravene order PPRA, possess dangerous drug cannabis exceed schedule 3, possess dangerous drug amphetamine exceed schedule 4, possess dangerous drug cocaine exceed schedule 3, possess dangerous drug MDMA and possess thing used in commission of crime.

He is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on April 20.

A 23-year-old Manly woman was charged with one count of possess dangerous drug MDMA. She is due to reappear at Wynnum Magistrates Court on April 21.

A 41-year-old Underwood man was charged with receiving tainted property and will appearing court next month.

“This protracted operation focused on disrupting and dismantling the illegal activities of this local syndicate,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Gavin Pascoe of the Logan Major and Organised Crime Squad said.

“The district will continue to run these types of operations to target the trafficking and supply of drugs and we urge members of the public to report any suspicious behaviour.”
