Optus appoints Kelly Bayer Rosmarin to new Deputy CEO role

Optus Chief Executive Allen Lew today announced the appointment of Kelly Bayer Rosmarin to the newly created role of Deputy CEO, Consumer Australia.

Reporting directly to Mr Lew, the former CBA Group Executive will be responsible for focusing Optus consumer business units on delivering continued improvements in customer experience, business and market share growth.

Customers expect their communications provider to go further in delivering exceptional value and service. We have created this role to accelerate customer experience improvements and ensure Optus stays ahead of the game, Mr Lew said.

This role will harness the full power of our marketing, sales, product development and customer care functions to enhance customer experience and drive customer acquisition, retention and ultimately, financial growth, he added.

Commenting on her appointment, Ms Bayer Rosmarin said she was thrilled by the opportunities facing the sector.

Mr Lew said: Kelly is recognised for leveraging technology, data and analytics to develop leading customer services and experiences, and her appointment is a coup for Optus.

Ms Bayer Rosmarin was most recently the Group Executive of the Institutional Banking and Markets division at Commonwealth Bank of Australia where she drove significant business growth and digital transformation programs. She has a unique blend of technology, commercial and management expertise from a career spanning financial services, management consulting and the Silicon Valley technology sector.

Kelly was named in the Top 10 Businesswomen in Australia and the Top 25 Women in Asia Pacific Finance, and holds a variety of Board and Advisory roles, including the Football Federation of Australia (FFA) and the New South Wales Government Digital Advisory Panel.

Ms Bayer Rosmarin commences with Optus on 1 March 2019.
