Optus Business awarded Asia Pacific and Japan Cisco Service Provider of the Year

Optus Business today announced that it is the recipient of a Cisco Partner Summit award for Asia Pacific and Japan Cisco Service Provider of the Year. Cisco unveiled the award during its annual partner conference taking place this week in the United States.

Awarded to channel partners who rise to business challenges, the Cisco Partner Summit Global awards are designed to recognise superior business practices and best-in-class methodologies and performance. Areas of consideration include innovative processes, architecture-led successes and strategic business outcome-focused programs.

Cisco is proud to work together with leading partners to drive the digital transformation, delivering powerful solutions that drive customer success, said Vicki Batka, vice president, Asia Pacific, Japan and China, Partner Organisation at Cisco. It is an honor to recognize Optus Business with a Cisco Partner Summit Geo-Region award as Asia Pacific and Japan Cisco Service Provider of the Year, further underscoring its outstanding accomplishments in Asia Pacific and Japan.

Optus Business Managing Director John Paitaridis said, At Optus Business, our mission is to be the trusted digital provider for Australian enterprise and government organisations. For more than 20 years, Optus and Cisco have partnered closely to deliver connected customer experiences and collaborative technology solutions for employees, workspaces and teams.

We are delighted and honoured to be recognised by Cisco and remain committed to enhancing the digital capabilities of enterprises as they evolve to the workplace of the future, with cyber security as a key focus.

Cisco and Optus are working together on a range of cloud, collaboration, infrastructure and security solutions. Ciscos infrastructure underpinned the integrated communications solution which Optus used to deliver and manage the technology for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee. This allowed the world to connect with the Games and became the gold standard for international sporting events.

With the 2017 launch of Smart Classrooms in regional Victoria, Cisco and Optus set a new bar for education. Digitalising the classrooms in regional Australia has provided students with resources that previously were only available to their urban counterparts.
