Optus customers in Kew now have better mobile experience

Continued commitment to improve coverage along the Pacific Highway

Optus has switched on a new tower in Kew, located in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales, delivering improved coverage and capacity along the Pacific Highway.

As part of Optus ongoing commitment to enhancing services along the Pacific Highway, the new site will boost in-vehicle coverage between Herons Creek and Cluleys Road.

Optus Territory General Manager for Mid North Coast NSW, Chris Simon said, As the main transport route on Australias central east coast, its important we offer commuters and travellers driving along the Pacific Highway reliable mobile reception. Critically, this new site in Kew will help enhance in-vehicle coverage along the highway which is vital for those travelling along this stretch of road.

We are continuing to follow through with our commitment to deliver improved services along the Pacific Highway, with this new site also enabling greater safety for those living and travelling through Kew by unlocking access to mobile voice, text and data services.

Optus investment in this tower will provide more choice for local businesses and residents across the Mid North Coast region.

With the recent announcement of our newly launched Families Plan, connecting the family in more ways than one with four SIMs and a whopping 250GB of shared monthly data, its certainly great timing to be offering a fantastic mobile services alternative, Mr Simon added.

Optus has invested more than $6 billion into its national mobile network since 2015, with Kew being one of more than 8000 network sites across Australia.
