Organised Crime Squad detectives have charged a twelfth person following the seizure of 400kg of methylamphetamine earlier this year.
Strike Force Golporta was established to investigate the alleged criminal activities of a central onshore facilitator believed to be coordinating operations on behalf of an offshore syndicate at the centre of a current OCN conflict.
Eleven people have since been charged – including nine men, a woman and a teenager – who all remain before the courts.
Following extensive enquiries, about 4.15am today (Thursday 6 August 2026), strike force detectives – with assistance from State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad – executed a search warrant at a home in Bidwell.
During the search, police allegedly located and seized a small amount of cannabis.
A 26-year-old man was arrested and taken to Mt Druitt Police Station where he was charged with supply prohibited drug greater than or equal to large commercial quantity, participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, and possess prohibited drug.
He was refused bail to appear at Mt Druitt Local Court today (Thursday 6 August 2026).
