The Victorian Government has announced an Outdoor Eating and Entertainment Package to create a new and exciting model for outdoor entertainment as the weather begins to warm up.
As we emerge from the stage 4 lock-down, an expansion of outdoor dining is an opportunity for restaurants, cafes and bars to reopen safely. To create additional outdoor dining spaces for this summer, there is opportunity to temporarily re-purpose some existing outdoor spaces. Re-purposed spaces may include footpaths, car-parking spaces and public spaces.
We are seeking initial interest from our tourism and hospitality businesses to gage what kinds of spaces our community are looking for and weather they support the expansion of outdoor dining and entertaining precincts.
