Outlaw motorcycle gang arrests and seizure, South Australia

Four men, two of whom are Presidents of chapters of the Nomads Outlaw Motorcycle Gang in South Australia were charged with serious drug and firearm offences this month.

On Friday 23 April following an ongoing investigation, Detectives from the Crime Gangs Task Force attended and searched a number of addresses in the Northern and Eastern suburbs where they located and seized approximately 800gms of methamphetamine, 700gms of heroin, 11 firearms, approximately $160,000 cash, five vehicles, four Harley Davidson motorcycles and a Jet ski.

One of the vehicles was found to have a purpose built hidden compartment containing approximately 80 grams of methamphetamine and over $9,000 in cash.

The offending is alleged to have occurred between December 2020 and April 2021.

The three men, a 30-year-old from Highbury, 40-year-old from Glynde and a 47-year-old from Payneham were arrested and charged with trafficking in a large commercial quantity of controlled drugs, money laundering and firearm offences.

The men were refused bail and appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 27 April where they were remanded to reappear on 16 August 2021.

A fourth man from Modbury North has also been charged with money laundering, he was bailed to appear in court at a later date.
