PADSIP: Bayside’s most unlikely friendships will fill your heart with hope and joy

PADSIP (Positive Ageing Digital Storytelling Inter-generational Project) is a wonderful project founded on the nurturing of meaningful relationships.

Working closely with the Wellbeing Clinic for Older Adults, Swinburne University of Technology and the Australian Institute of Intergenerational Practice (AIIP), we are proud to present this beautiful video series showcasing Sandringham VCAL College students being paired with senior members of the Bayside community to chat and create digital stories about the lives of the older people in their community.

The driving force behind this project is derived from Bayside community feedback collected from our Youth Resilience Survey Data and the Healthy Ageing Survey, 2022. Social connection needs were identified in the two demographic groups which inspired our short story pilot series.

The short stories will be released weekly, and you can tune in live right here at 4:30pm every Monday from 15 May, to celebrate the start of National Families Week, until the finale on 19 June.
