Palaszczuk & Waters must condemn eco-terrorist farm invaders: Shelton

Australian Conservatives Release

With Queensland farmers on high alert following reports of more farm invasions planned for Monday, the Australian Conservatives are calling on the Queensland Government to ensure that trespassers face the full force of the law.

“If Labor can act to ban peaceful vigils on public land within 150 meters of an abortion clinic, they should be able to make sure violent invaders do not step on to a family farm,” Conservatives Queensland Senate candidate Lyle Shelton said.

“I am mystified as to why no one has been charged over the recent mass invasion of a Millmerran farm where activists traumatised the family by yelling ‘calf killers’.

“There is a clear double standard here. Farmers who are feeding and clothing the nation should not have to live in fear,” he said.

“I am alarmed to see the farms of family and friends identified on the Aussie Farms website. A bloodied axe emoji has been pasted over a satellite photo of a friend’s farm,” Mr Shelton said.

“Greens Senator Larissa Waters should condemn the use of violent imagery and unlawful tactics of these eco-terrorists,” Mr Shelton said.
