Pedestrian critical after being struck by car in North Shore

A man is in a critical condition after being hit by a car on Sydney’s North Shore yesterday.

Police have been told the 74-year-old was crossing Miller Street in Cammeray when he was struck by a Honda Accord about 6.45pm (Sunday 1 August 2021).

Passers-by contacted emergency services and rendered aid to the man.

Officers from North Shore Police Area Command and NSW Ambulance paramedics attended a short time later.

The man suffered head injuries and was treated on scene before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver, an 81-year-old man, was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from North Shore Police Area Command have commenced an investigation.
