Pedestrian dies after being struck by car in Moorabbin

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a man was fatally struck by a car in Moorabbin this afternoon.

It is believed the man was standing near the rear of his car which was parked in a Grange Road car park when he was struck by another car about 1pm.

The victim’s vehicle then crashed into two other parked cars.

The pedestrian, who is yet to be formally identified, sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the car, an 83-year-old Cheltenham man, is assisting police with enquiries.

His 76-year-old female passenger was not injured during the incident.
