Pedestrian dies in Oakleigh collision

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision which occurred in Oakleigh during the early hours of Thursday.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a car and pedestrian on Dandenong Road about 4.15am on 14 July.

The pedestrian, a 62-year-old Oakleigh woman, died at the scene.

The driver of the car, a 49-year-old Huntingdale man, was uninjured and is assisting investigators with their enquiries.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
