Pedestrian injured at Bathurst, NSW

Investigations are underway after a pedestrian was hit in Bathurst overnight.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Rankin and Lambert streets shortly after 7pm (Monday 19 April 2021), and found a man with suspected head and pelvic injuries after being hit by a 4WD as he crossed the road.

The man was treated at the scene before being airlifted to Westmead Hospital where he’s reported to be in a stable condition.

Witnesses have told police a 36-year-old man was driving a 2005-model Ford Territory when the pedestrian was struck as he crossed the road

Officers from Chifley Police District are appealing for anyone with information about the incident, or wo may have dashcam vision, to call Bathurst Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
