Pedestrian seriously injured in crash, NSW

An investigation has commenced following a crash at Tuggerah this morning that’s left a woman with serious injuries.

About 8.40am (Thursday 27 December 2018), a sedan travelling east on Johnson Road has hit a woman who was sitting outside a motor vehicle dealership after dropping off her car.

The sedan continued into the dealership where it crashed into a number of parked cars.

The 35-year-old woman suffered serious head and internal injuries, as well as fractures to her arms and legs, and was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.

The male driver and his female passenger were both taken to Gosford Hospital for treatment to minor injuries. The driver will also undergo mandatory blood and urine tests.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District have established a crime scene while officers from the Crash Investigation Unit will conduct a full investigation.
