Pedestrian Strike – Berrimah

Northern Territory Police are investigating after one person was struck by a vehicle in Berrimah yesterday afternoon.

At 4:30pm, police received a report that a pedestrian had been stuck by a vehicle in the outbound lane of the Stuart Highway in Berrimah.

Emergency Services attended the scene, and an adult female was conveyed to the Royal Darwin Hospital for medical treatment.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and returned a negative breath test for drugs.

Senior Sergeant Robin Kidney said “Thank you to those witnesses who stopped and rendered assistance until emergency services arrived on scene.

“This serves as a reminder for Territorians to stay vigilant for pedestrians on the road and if you are involved in a collision, it is a legal requirement to stop and provide assistance.”
