Pedestrian struck by car in Peakhurst

A man is in a serious condition after being struck by a car in Sydney’s south yesterday.

About 11.20pm (Saturday 12 October 2019), emergency services attended Henry Lawson Drive near Belmore Road, Peakhurst, following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a Nissan Patrol.

A 41-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to St George Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The driver of the Nissan– a 24-year-old man – was taken to Bankstown Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from St George Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
