Perth weekly market snapshot for the week ending 4 February 2024

Sales transactions in Perth last week were 25.5 per cent higher than the previous week, with REIWA members reporting 984 transactions. A closer look shows house sales were 36.3 per cent higher than the week prior, unit sales were down 14.0 per cent and land sales were up 87.9 per cent.

Perth’s highest sale price: Bassendean – $1,850,000

Perth’s lowest sale price: Maylands – $265,000

There were 3,86 properties for sale in Perth at the end of last week, which is similar to the previous week. This can be attributed to house listings increasing 0.9 per cent compared to the week prior and unit listings increasing 2.9 per cent, while vacant land listings decreased 7.8 per cent.

Last week’s total figure of properties available for sale is 5.9 per cent higher than four weeks ago and 45.0 per cent lower than levels seen a year ago.

In Perth’s rental market, REIWA members reported there were 1,862 properties for rent in Perth at the end of last week, which is 4.9 per cent lower than the week prior. Last week’s rental listings figure is 2 per cent higher than four weeks ago and similar to a year ago.

REIWA members reported 754 properties leased last week, which is 26.7 per cent lower than the previous week, 143.2 per cent higher than four weeks ago and 5.2 per cent higher than a year ago.
