The COVID-19 Omnibus (Emergency Measures) Act 2020 enables Councils to hold meetings electronically. This measure is intended to ensure the safety of members of the public, Councillors and Council staff.
Accordingly, the Planning and Development Committee meeting scheduled for 6pm Wednesday 26 August 2020 will be held electronically and will be broadcast live on this website
Members of the public will not be able to attend in person. Any person wishing to make a submission under Section 4.13.2 of the Governance Local Law 2016 or any other Act should contact the Council by emailing [email protected] or telephoning Governance Coordinator Jane Still on (03) 5760 2600.
A Special Meeting of the Council will be held following the Planning and Development Committee meeting.
The purpose of the Special Meeting is to consider the following items:
- Common Seal Local Law 2020
- Governance Rules 2020
- Transparency Policy
- Councillor Expenses Policy
- Election Period Policy
- Constitution of the Audit and Risk Committee
- Constitution of Delegated Committees
- Delegations by the Council to the Chief Executive Officer
- Delegations from the Council to members of staff.
