Strike Force Cerberus detectives are continuing to investigate last week’s dangerous driving incident in Katherine.
Two youths were arrested over the weekend in relation to the incident, while a third youth, an 11-year-old male, was issued with a summons to appear in court. Police are continuing to actively identify and locate the remaining youths involved.
As part of the ongoing investigation, police are appealing to members of the public who witnessed the incident, or who may have captured any part of it, to come forward.
Police are particularly seeking dash-cam footage, mobile phone vision, photographs or CCTV that may assist investigators to formally identify those involved and establish their movements before, during and after the incident.
Senior Sergeant Warren Scott said police had already identified a number of those involved and were continuing to pursue further lines of enquiry.
“We know there were a number of people in and around Katherine who witnessed this behaviour, and there is likely to be additional footage that has not yet been provided to police.
“Even if you think your footage is insignificant, it may provide investigators with the piece of information needed to formally identify those involved.
“Two youths have already been arrested, and our investigation has not stopped there. We are continuing to work through CCTV, footage and other information to identify and locate the remaining offenders.
“This was extremely dangerous behaviour that placed other road users and members of the Katherine community at risk. We are committed to ensuring those responsible are identified and held to account.”
