Police appeal for witnesses after Hoppers Crossing assault

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Hoppers Crossing last month.

It is understood a man was assaulted in the carpark of a supermarket by another man on Old Geelong Road just after 5pm on 29 September.

The victim, a 60-year-old man from Hoppers Crossing, sustained minor injuries and later sought medical attention.

Investigators have spoken to both parties involved, and at this stage the investigation remains ongoing.

Police are particularly interested in speaking to three men, two of whom intervened in the assault and a third who approached and shook their hands afterward.

It is not believed these men were involved in the assault, however police believe they may have information that could assist.
