Police appeal to locate elderly woman missing from Taree

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate missing woman from Taree.

Laticia Adams, who goes by ‘Letty’, aged 86, was last seen at a hospital on York Street, Taree, about 3.30pm today (Monday 11 December 2023).

When she was unable to be located or contacted, officers from Manning Great Lakes Police District were notified and commenced an investigation into her whereabouts.

There are serious concerns for Letty’s welfare as she lives with dementia and due to the recent heatwave in the area.

Letty is described as being of Asian appearance, about 160cm, of a large build, with brown eyes, and grey hair.

She was last seen wearing a brown shirt and a denim skirt.

Police believe she is currently still in the Taree area.

Anyone with information into Letty’s whereabouts is urged to contact Taree Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
