Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man currently missing in Sydney’s southwest.
Miroslav Milat, aged 82, was last seen at an aged care facility on Edmondson Avenue, Austral about 10.40am today (Saturday 25 February 2022).
When he could not be located, officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command were notified with a search currently underway with the assistance of PolAir to locate him.
Family and police hold concerns for Miroslav’s welfare as he lives with dementia.
Miroslav is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 170cm tall, with a medium build and short white hair.
Police have been told he may be wearing dark pants, a black vest, black headphones while carrying an Apple iPad and shoulder bag.
Miroslav is believed to still be in the Austral area and anyone who sees him or has information about his whereabouts is urged to contact local police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
