Police appeal to locate woman missing from Mount Austin

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly woman missing from the state’s south.

Sue Matheson, aged 80, was last seen at a home on Mimosa Drive, Mount Austin, around 10.30am this morning (Friday 29 September 2023).

When she could not be located or contacted, officers from the Riverina Police District were notified and commenced inquiries to locate her.

Police and family hold concerns for Sue’s welfare as she lives with dementia.

Sue is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 155cm tall, and has dark hair coming down to her chin.

She was last seen wearing a white zip-up jacket and black pants.
