Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision at Merbein this morning.
It’s understood a SUV and utility collided at the intersection of Paschendale Avenue and Fifth Street about 7am on Wednesday, 16 February.
The driver of the SUV, a yet to be formally identified woman, sadly died at the scene.
Her passenger, also female, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver and sole occupant of the utility, a 54-year-old Merbein man, was not injured and assisted police with their initial enquiries.
Mildura Highway Patrol will investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
