Geelong Highway Patrol are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Corio this morning.
It is believed a car was travelling east along School Road when the driver lost control and collided with a truck just before 7.30am.
The male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified.
The driver of the truck stopped at the scene and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
