Wangaratta Highway Patrol officers are investigating a fatal collision in Yarrawonga this morning.
It is understood two vehicles collided on Murray Valley Highway about 11.20am.
Sadly, the female driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene.
Her male passenger was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The female driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
The Murray Valley Highway is closed in both directions between Keenans Road and Botts Road.
