Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash which occurred in Tanybryn this afternoon.
Investigators have been told a Holden sedan was travelling along Forrest-Apollo Bay Road about 2.20pm.
The driver lost control of the car which left the road and crashed into a tree.
Emergency services attended and transported the driver and only occupant, believed to be a man in his 60s, to hospital.
Unfortunately the man died en route and the crash is under investigation.
