Greensborough Highway Patrol are investigating after a fatal crash in Bundoora on Thursday morning.
Emergency services responded to reports that an Audi sedan was travelling north on Plenty Road when it lost control and struck a pole on the south bound side about 4.10am.
Sadly, the sole occupant, a yet to be identified man, died at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations are ongoing.
