Police are responding to fatal crash in Ipswich, QLD

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal crash between a car and a pedestrian in Ipswich on Saturday, April 16.

Preliminary information suggest a 46-year-old man was struck by a vehicle on Roderick Street around 2:30am

The Churchill man was initially taken to Ipswich Hospital before being transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital where he later died.

The driver of the Honda, a 59-year-old woman from Silkstone was not physically injured.

Investigations are ongoing.
