Police are responding to fatal crash in Tamborine, QLD

A 41-year-old man has died following a single vehicle crash in Tamborine this evening (January 15).

Initial investigations indicate shortly after 6.00pm, a car was travelling on Williamson Road near Waterford Tamborine Road when it left the roadway and crashed into a pole.

The passenger, a 41-year-old Thornlands man, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

The driver, a 24-year-old Alexandra Hills woman, was transported to hospital for treatment to non-life threatening injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
