Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Merivale, near Esperance, on Wednesday, 5 August 2026.
About 6.05am, an orange Kia Rio sedan was driving along Fisheries Road, near Savage Road, when it left the road and collided with a tree.
The sole occupant of the Kia, a 37-year-old man, died at the scene.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.
