Police are responding to fatal crash – Tasman Highway at Scottsdale

At 8:50 pm on 3rd December 2019, police were called to a report of a single vehicle crash on the Tasman Highway, approximately 15 kilometres west of Scottsdale.

Upon arrival police located the 24 year old male driver within the vehicle. Attempts were made to revive the male, however he was pronounced dead at the scene by Ambulance Tasmania personnel.

It appears the crash was caused by the vehicle failing to negotiate a right hand bend, causing it to strike a number of large trees.

A report is being prepared for the coroner.
