Police arrest driver after pursuit with stolen car at Findon, South Australia

A man has been arrested following a pursuit at Findon.

Just before 5.30pm on Thursday 8 April, patrols spotted a stolen BMW on Norman Street as it drove off towards Findon Road. Police did not pursue the car and it was spotted again a short time later as it drove out of a hotel car park on Findon Road.

Patrols then pursued the BMW as it drove down side streets before turning into Lucas Street where it hit a parked car causing minor damage. The driver fled on foot but was chased down by police and arrested.

The driver, a 26-year-old Mansfield Park man has been charged with illegal use and drive dangerously to evade police. He has been refused bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.

The BMW was stolen from a Findon address yesterday.
