Police arrest four in stolen car after armed robbery

Fawkner Embona and Wayward Taskforces investigators have arrested four people in a stolen vehicle in Jacana earlier today.

Police will allege the vehicle was one of two stolen during an armed robbery in Coburg overnight.

The victim was threatened and slashed across the hand with a pair of scissors.

The 33-year-old woman was transported to hospital with a serious hand injury.

A 15-year-old girl from Coburg was charged with armed robbery, burglary, theft, intentionally and recklessly cause injury, theft of motor vehicle & commit an indictable offence on bail.

A 15-year-old boy from Thornbury was charged with theft of motor vehicle & commit an indictable offence whilst bail.

A 14-year-old boy from Coburg was charged with armed robbery, burglary, theft, theft of motor vehicle & commit an indictable offence whilst on bail.

All three have been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

A 19-year-old man from Jacana was charged with theft of motor vehicle, possess cannabis and possess a dangerous article.

He was bailed to appear at the Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on 25 May 2021.
