A man has been arrested after a woman was found dead at a Wentworthville yesterday.
About 2.40am (Wednesday 14 October 2020), emergency services were called to a home on Lane Street, Wentworthville, after reports a woman had been injured.
Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command and NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived to locate an unresponsive 23-year-old woman, who was unable to be revived.
Cumberland Detectives assisted by the Homicide Squad formed Strike Force Palca to investigate the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
Following inquiries, about 11.00am today (Thursday 15 October 2020), police arrested a 24-year-old man at Astoria Court, Maroubra.
The man was taken to Maroubra Police Station, where he is assisting with police inquiries.
