A man has been arrested as detectives investigate the death of a woman and stabbing of another man in Sydney’s north west.
Just before 5am today (Sunday 28 December 2025), emergency services were called to a home on Illabo Street, Quakers Hill, after reports of a disturbance.
Officers from Riverstone Police Area Command attended and found a man on the footpath, suffering stab wounds.
A woman was found deceased inside the home. She is yet to be formally identified.
The injured man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.
A crime scene has been established, and detectives have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
About 5.30am, a 47-year-old man was arrested after attending Blacktown Police Station.
Inquiries continue.
