Police arrest man after ute rolls, hits parked cars in North Shore

A man has been arrested after a ute crashed into two parked cars and a motorcycle in Sydney’s north yesterday.

Just after 7pm (Tuesday 28 September 2021), emergency services were called to Baden Road, Kurraba Point, after reports of a crash.

Officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command attended and were told the red Toyota Landcruiser was travelling north on Baden Road when it hit a silver Hyundai i30 parked near the intersection of Kurraba Road.

The ute continued and hit a parked white Mini Cooper, causing it to roll onto its side, before hitting a parked black Yamaha motorcycle, and then rolling onto its side.

Two male occupants were able to remove themselves from the ute.

The passenger, a 19-year-old man from Greenacre, fled the scene on foot and was located nearby.

The driver, a 30-year-old man from Yagoona, was arrested. He participated in a roadside breath test that returned a negative result.

He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for further tests, including treatment for head and shoulder injuries.

Inquiries are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
