Police have arrested a man following a pursuit in Waurn Ponds this afternoon.
Investigators observed a red Subaru WRX sedan in the Waurn Ponds area about 3.25pm and were keen to speak to the driver about reports of alleged erratic behaviour at an address earlier in the day.
The driver failed to stop for police and continued driving on Colac Road.
A short pursuit was initiated on Colac Road and the offending vehicle was observed travelling onto the wrong side of the road.
The offending vehicle then crashed into a marked police car and the offender was arrested at the scene.
The Corio man was taken to hospital under police guard. He will be interviewed at a later date.
Two police members were also taken to hospital for observation.
The road remains blocked to one lane of traffic and drivers are urged to avoid the area if possible.
The investigation is ongoing.
