Police have arrested a man following a sexual assault in Coburg overnight.
The 25-year-old Coburg man was arrested in Carlton about 1.30am.
The arrest follows the sexual assault of a woman as she was running along Merri Creek on the evening of Tuesday 3 December.
He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
