Caulfield Divisional Response Unit arrested and charged a man with drug trafficking and weapon offences yesterday after he was found with 1,4-Butanediol in his car.
The 39-year-old man was found to be in possession of the alleged 1,4-Butanediol when he was pulled over by police about 2.15pm.
A subsequent search warrant was executed at an address in Carnegie as part of the ongoing investigation about 3.15pm.
The search located about nine litres of alleged 1,4-Butanediol, an extendable baton and alleged parts of a firearm.
The man was charged with traffick a commercial quantity of 1,4-Butanediol, traffick1,4-Butanediol, possess 1,4-Butanediol, possess a prohibited weapon, drive whilst disqualified and make false report to police.
He will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today, Friday 3 January 2020 for a remand hearing.
