Police arrest pair after violent Seaford aggravated burglary

Frankston police have arrested a man and woman following an alleged aggravated burglary in Seaford last night (7 September).

It is alleged the pair attended the Duncan Ave address about 9.40pm, forced entry and assaulted a 39-year-old man with a weapon in the presence of his partner and children.

The victim was treated for injuries sustained to his head and back during the alleged attack.

Uniform police units responded swiftly and located a man and a woman in a vehicle nearby. The pair were arrested without incident.

Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a 65-year-old Langwarrin woman with aggravated burglary this morning. She has been bailed to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (10 September)

A 44-year-old Langwarrin man remains in police custody, assisting detectives with their enquiries. It is expected he will face the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today to answer charges including aggravated burglary, assault and theft.
