A teenager has been arrested after allegedly threatening two police officers with a box cutter at Wild Horse Plains this morning.
The teen was spotted driving a stolen grey Honda CRV in the backstreets of Mansfield Park just after 9.30am on Tuesday 26 November, before heading north on Salisbury Highway.
The police helicopter (PolAir) was called in to track the vehicle as it headed north on Port Wakefield Road.
The vehicle stopped before Wild Horse Plains and a patrol approached the driver.
The driver allegedly threatened the two officers with a box cutter. A female officer sustained cuts to her fingers and a male officer received an injury to his upper arm. The injuries are believed to be minor and were later treated at the scene by paramedics.
The 17-year-old boy from Ferryden Park was arrested and taken to the Elizabeth Police Station for charging. He is expected to face charges relating to the stolen vehicle and aggravated assault against the two officers.
The grey 2007 stolen Honda was towed from the scene for forensic examination. It was stolen, along with the car keys, during a break-in at Ferryden Park on Monday morning.
