Police arrest two men after drug seizures at Oaklands Park

Two men have faced court on serious drug charges following a search at Oaklands Park on Tuesday.

On Tuesday 15 December, officers from the Crime Gangs Task Force – Serious and Organised Crime Branch –searched a home at Oaklands Park after making observations of what was suspected to be a delivery of drugs by a vehicle.

During the search, police located a container holding 30 litres of a liquid suspected to be fantasy, about 450g of methylamphetamine contained in several packages and in excess of $26,000 cash.

Police also located and seized a can of pepper spray.

The vehicle that attended the home was searched and another plastic container with at least 10 litres of fantasy was located inside.

The driver of the vehicle along with the occupant of the home, were arrested over the seizures. Both men are associates of the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.

A 28-year-old man from Oaklands Park was charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug and trafficking in a commercial quantity of a controlled drug.

A 32-year-old man from Daw Park was charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug.

Both men were refused police bail and appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court yesterday.

Detective Superintendent Steve Taylor, Officer in Charge of Serious Organised Crime Branch said, “This is another example of the connection between motorcycle gangs and illicit drug supply. SAPOL are pleased that we have been able to remove these life destroying drugs from the community.”
