A woman has been arrested for murder following the death of a man at Port Augusta overnight.
Just after 11.30pm on Wednesday 30 October, police and ambulance crews were called to a home on Hipwell Street Port Augusta, following reports of a man with serious stab wounds.
On arrival, a 35-year-old man was treated at the scene before being rushed to the local Port Augusta Hospital, but sadly he died shortly after arrival.
Police investigating the incident have arrested a 34-year-old woman from Port Augusta who was found at the scene and known to the deceased man.
Major Crime Detectives and Crime Scene examiners from Adelaide are attending to assist in the investigation which is not considered random.
