Police arrest woman over Kurralta Park shooting

A woman has been arrested in connection with a shooting at Kurralta Park last month. Police are still appealing for the driver of a ride share car to come forward.

Just after 2.30am, Sunday 22 January, patrols were called to a unit complex on Warwick Avenue, Kurralta Park after a man was shot in the abdomen.

The 19-year-old Kurralta Park man was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

The male and female suspects fled the scene in a white sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry, suspected to be a ride share or private hire vehicle.

The male suspect, a 26-year-old man, was arrested by Southern District CIB Detectives and Star Operations at Prospect on 1 February and charged with attempted murder, firearms and drug offences.

After extensive investigations, last night (Monday 13 February) detectives arrested a 32-year-old Taperoo woman and charged her with attempted murder.

She was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

Investigators are still seeking information from the public about the ride share vehicle used on that night and urge the driver to come forward.
