Police charge five after Altona home invasion

Fast acting police have charged five people after a violent home invasion in Altona last night. (November 14).

A 24-year-old woman was asleep at her Civic Parade home about 7.30pm when she heard a loud ruckus and opened her bedroom door to see a group of people smashing windows and damaging property.

She locked her bedroom door and called 000 before the offenders forced their way into her room and assaulted her.

Police arrived on scene and arrested five females.

The female victim suffered minor injuries.

A 28-year-old Tarneit woman and 19-year-old Hoppers Crossing woman have been charged with home invasion and will face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.

Two 17-year-old Deer Park females were also charged with home invasion and will face Melbourne Children’s’ Court today.

A 17-year-old Tarneit female was released with intent to summons.
