Police charge man after Carranballac fatal collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a fatal collision in Carranballac earlier this week.

Detectives arrested the 30-year-old man of no fixed place of abode yesterday.

He was charged with dangerous driving causing death and remanded in custody to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.

Emergency Services were called to Glenelg Highway after three trucks collided just after 5pm on 12 May.

The driver of one of the trucks, a 37-year-old South Australian man, died at the scene.

The two other truck drivers were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
