Police charge man after death of man in Frankston

Homicide Squad detectives have today charged a man following a fatal shooting in Frankston last month.

The 43-year-old Frankston man was charged with murder and faced a bedside remand hearing.

The charge relates to the death of 34-year-old Frankston man on 18 September.

The 43-year-old man was arrested at a home in Sarno Court, Cranbourne on Friday 24 September, following a week-long search by police.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene and has remained under police guard in hospital since.

Investigations by Crime Command detectives into a range of other serious offences linked to this incident are ongoing.

Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
