Police charge man after fatal shooting in Dandenong

A 25-year-old man will face Melbourne Magistrates Court this afternoon after being charged with murder following the execution of a number of warrants across Melbourne this morning.

The warrants were executed in relation to the ongoing investigation into the fatal shooting of 51-year-old Mitat Rasimi in Dandenong in March this year.

The Hampton Park man has been charged with one count of murder and firearms offences.

A 26-year-old Hallam man has been released without charge. .

Mitat Rasimi had been driving a car at the time of his murder and was found by police, unresponsive and with a number of gunshot wounds, crashed into a pole in Dawn Avenue.
