Police charge man after Geelong assault

Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following an alleged incident in Geelong on 28 October.

A 41-year-old Colac man located with life threatening injuries in Ritchie Boulevard at Eastern Beach about 11.50pm and was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The Colac man died from his injuries this morning.

Homicide Squad detective today interviewed an 18-year-old Tarneit man and an 18-year-old Hillside woman.

The Tarneit man has been charged with one count of Murder and will appear at Geelong Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

The Hillside woman was released pending further enquiries.
